About IEEE

The IEEE (“Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers”) is an association dedicated to the advancement of technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. It is the world’s largest technical professional society, and boasts over 400,000 members from 160 countries. This includes over 100,000 students and over 50,000 members of “Graduates of the Last Decade” (GOLD), IEEE’s affinity group for young professionals.

The IEEE and its members inspire a number of highly cited publications, with almost 3 million documents in the IEEExplore Digital Library. The association sponsors more than 1200 conferences in 78 countries worldwide and involves itself in many educational and professional activities.
